A short update & Website update

I haven’t posted here in a while, so this is a short-ish update.

In the last year or so I had little time to write, focusing on myself and my career. It turned out to be an incredible year in which I presented my research in 8 different conferences around the world, including RSAC and another DEF CON appearance!

That aside, I’m also excited to announce that in June 2026, Astrix Security, the start-up I worked at for more than 4 years has been acquired by Cisco!

This is a monumental achievement for the team at Astrix which I thoroughly enjoyed working with for the past years. I’m very excited to continue working on difficult problems in the non-human and AI agent identity spaces with my team from within Cisco and make impactful change in this world.

I also promise that in this team, I continued doing silly projects which I will write about in the near future.

Besides that however, this post is to also highlight that I’ve updated the look of the blog!

After a thorough review of 5 different blog engines and checking a few themes for each, an array of judges consisting of me and some AI agents decided to keep the same backend (Jekyll) and just changing the theme to Chirpy with a few tweaks.

This choice makes it still easy to update and maintain the site, while giving it a new beautiful look while still fitting customization needs.

On the left there’s a navigation pane. Starting with the default choice, “Home”, shows my posts, recently updated ones and also lets you quickly search and filter for tags.

I got rid of the top bar and instead put what I had saved up there into a “Resources” section which I plan to overhaul soon to be able to link to resources from the posts as well as give my 2 cents on each, and a larger surprise coming soon.

While “Categories”, “Tags” and “Post Archives” are self-explanatory, I loved the “Post Archives” layout and by a recommendation of my friend Nom (check out his website!), I created a “Talks Archives” section detailing all recent talks with links to their recording, when available.

I also updated the “About” section, and added two links to two special subdomains of taltechtreks.com, posts are coming soon about these and how I built them… Stay tuned!
